蝴蝶精的天空

           One day, my home mother’s dad visited our
home. When he knew I was from Taiwan, he told me

that his brother and sister just came back from my
country. They thought Taiwan was a convenient and

beautiful country, but what they only complained about

was AIR POLLUTION. They thought the air in Taiwan

was very dirty and the air pollution was very serious in
Taiwan. In the past 20 years, there were more and
more vehicles and factories built in Taiwan. It mainly
caused the air pollution and became a big problem.

Our government had set the laws to reduce the polluted
gas emission and provided some standards that the
factories had to follow. For example, the factories
couldn’t release the waste gas to the air or they couldn’t
release the gas without extra processing. However,
the business man still tried to skip the law and released
the polluted gas during the nights. The government
should set stricter and severer punishment to prevent
the air from being polluted by these factories.

         Moreover, in order to reduce the emission of the

vehicles, the government started to construct more transit

system and encouraged citizens to walk and ride the bicycles

more often. But it seemed not enough to reduce the air pollution.
The sky in Taipei where I have been living until now was
still grave. I have to wear the mask when riding the scooter.
It had been getting better and better because more and
more citizens started to take the environment protection
seriously and had more sense about environment protection.
We still tried to completely solve the air pollution in our
country but we still needed more effort to recover the clean
Taiwan from the polluted environment.
